Caydon has begun the development of a prestigious Melbourne hotel under Joe Russo’s direction.
Located on Flinders and Queen Street, the Vibe Hotel will occupy an existing three-level building that previously housed the Fletcher Jones Company. The development team plans to retain the structure’s heritage façade and construct additional stories for a total of 23 levels upon completion. The finished hotel will consist of 204 rooms and feature gym facilities and an indoor heated pool. Plans also include the construction of an associated retail space on the ground floor.
In addition to onsite amenities, the hotel’s location will provide guests with an assortment of local dining options and conveniences. The building is within walking distance of notable destinations such as Flinders St. Station and the Crown Complex. Guest rooms will also offer panoramic views of the Yarra River towards Southbank and north and southeast vantage points of the Melbourne central business district.
